The Shins are holding a "Design a Tour Poster" contest through creativeallies.com. The Shins will pick the overall winner, and that artist's design will be used as their upcoming tour poster! THE RAVEN

The KiMo Gallery invited 18 local Albuquerque artists to create work for "The Raven" exhibit. Each artist received a canvas board and one of the 18 stanzas from Edgar Allan Poe's poem. Each artist created a work of art on a horizontal format (18” x 24”) based on the stanza they received. I had the honor of painting the 17th stanza!

A silent auction was held for each piece. All proceeds went to "Friends For The Public Library" - Supporting the Albuquerque/Bernalillo County Library System. The exhibit will run through March 25th. Click Here for more information.

CURSIVE - I AM GEMINI

For the last couple of months I’ve been working with, Omaha based band, Cursive. I had the pleasure of creating the artwork for their upcoming album “I Am Gemini” ... which was released on February 21st. I have illustrated the album artwork, liner note images, new t-shirt designs and the U.S. tour poster! All of these products are available for purchase at Saddle Creek Records. CURSIVE 2012 TOUR POSTER

This is the poster I designed for Cursive's 2012 Tour! I incorporated the characters and themes from most of the album artwork... and came up with a culmination of their concept story. This poster was printed by the amazing folks at Ink Tank Merch in Omaha, Nebraska. The band will have this poster, along with all the new merch, available for sale!

ALBUQUERQUE COMIC CON POST

ACC 2012 was a huge success. Thousands of attendees and hundreds of exhibitors had a great time at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. There was a wide range of vendors, artists, events and celebrities in all comic, horror, sci-fi and anime genres. This event seems to be getting bigger and bigger... which is awesome for Albuquerque!

Our booth did very well this year. We sold lots of posters and t-shirts...and got to visit with local fans, actors and cosplayers!

We're already locked in, and will have a table in Artist Alley at ACE 2012... this summer at the ABQ Convention Center. It's in June, so I better get busy!

"They're coming to get you Barbara" Needless to say, I am a huge George Romero "Dead" movie fanatic! I made this 3 color limited edition print for the 2012 Albuquerque Comic Con. Come by Artist Alley at the Con this weekend and pick up a poster... I'm in the process of making t-shirts too!
